Lorette's published several of my poems at TER over the years. It's a great project she started 5 years ago to promote the practice of ekphrastic writing. If you don't know "ekphrastic" refers to writing inspired by visual art. If you've read Keats' "Ode on a Grecian Urn", then you're already acquainted with the genre. His was just, maybe, the first ekphrastic poem. There are plenty more. More times than I can count, I've been reading a book of poetry and come across something that was clearly written about a painting or sculpture, even if the piece is not explicitly referred to by the author. TER has taken ekphrastic writing to a new, prolific level.
This post is just a way of introducing the new book and TER. Hope to post more later.
